On The Menu for Thursday...
Well it is Thanksgiving again already. I can not believe how fast time goes by. I must be getting old. I remember as a kid... waiting for my birthday or Christmas each year, a year seemed like FOREVER. Now it just feels like we did this 3 months ago.
I love Thanksgiving. I would have to say it is tied with Christmas for being a favorite of mine. I love inviting everyone over, cooking up LOTS of yummy food and spending time just hanging out with the family all day. Maybe it is also because I love to cook and entertain?! I don't know... But I love it! My mom and I always have a wonderful time planning the menu and cooking together... in the same kitchen or over the phone. I love that my mom loves to cook and taught me to love it too!
This year I am having my side of the family over. My Dad, Mom, Brothers and spouses, Grandparents and Aunt Kathleen, Shane and family will be doing dinner here this year! I think I will have about 20 over for dinner and possibly 30 for dessert. It sounds overwhelming, but really it is just a lot of fun. The more the merrier! Everyone has their food assignments and we all help each other out and have a great time! I am excited for Kathleen and family to come this year... we have not ever been together on Thanksgiving before.
I like to blog the menu each year... just for fun... so here it is for this year. We usually do the same thing every year... I will have to go back to last year to see what might be different.

How do you do 2 turkeys? Do you have a double oven or do you cook one at a time? (We were just talking about this at work, that's why I ask)
